This is a gorgeous picture, Patrick. I also see more than one image here. Eliminate the sky--keep the water's reflection and the reeds for another dramatic perspective. #145743Paul C. Gazzanigo July 08, 2004

Marvelous exposure and contrast in textures here, Patrick, with the smooth water and that vivid sky! Beautifully composed, too! #638348Jeanne Hansen July 09, 2004
Patrick, this is of course stunning. I studied this image for several minutes and decided that two things really make this image for met. First is the blue gradient in the water, which is repeated in the bands just below the horizon and in the sky. The second thing is the simplicity of the reeds in the quiet water juxtaposed against a more "active" sky.Jeanne #640188
