Shi Shi Beach Sunset
Uploaded: August 02, 2007
I am posting this more because of the story then the image. I travelled close to six miles through mud and sand to get here which is not far for NPN members but I had a total hip placement 10 months ago so for me this was pretty far. I have been trying to get here forever but this place is in clouds for most of the year so catching a sunset at a low tide happens rarely here. Anyways conditions were right and I made the 10 hour journey but when I got there I forgot my tent and sleeping bag which were in the bag with my food that I forgot as well. I was so excited to get here I forgot everything so I slept in the sand overnight with nothing and then it starts to pour rain around midnight and the rain did not let up. Anyways sometimes you have to slow down and I cant help go crazy when I am shooting somewhere and the conditons final work in your favor. I know again the image is dark but did not want to emphasize the mud but the glow in the water.
