The current photo assignment for my team is to photograph a single sheet of paper. For me, this is a repeat of an assignment I did several years ago, but it was worth repeating. In fact, It is an exercise that I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting to improve their photography.A sheet of paper really isn't that exciting of a a subject so it really becomes about shape, texture, light, and shadow. #1561459

Very good thought, Jeff. We've seen this before as you mentioned. Would posting your prior effort be instructive for comparing previous skill sets/technology capabilities? #10959467Jeff E Jensen January 29, 2014
Thanks, everyone.Rita - I used gels on the flashes to add the color. Oh, I guess I should say that I used two EX600-RTs to light these.
Stephen - Here's the previous images. #10959482

I think this post shows a bit more sophisticated lightning and post processing than earlier versions. #10959992Peter W. Marks January 30, 2014
The colored version certainly has appeal but the B&W raises the image to a higher level of fine-art. I like everything about it Jeff. #10960400Kalena Randall January 30, 2014
I like them all, Jeff, but I'm partial to the color one! Super stuff! #10960439Beth Spencer January 30, 2014
