It looks like a ballet to me!

This was shot in the split second just after the kick.

And just a tiny split second before the shot above was taken. #1553417John Connolly November 21, 2013
Two excellent sports action images Michelle! Nice work! #10904204Monnie Ryan November 21, 2013
More like a production of "Footloose" from this angle - terrific action capture! #10904259Bonnie C. Lackey November 21, 2013
Many football players take ballet lessons just to be able to catch that ball and keep both feet in the field of play. Fun to see these youngsters play, isn't it. #10904321David Phalen November 21, 2013
Two outstanding sports action shots!! In slow motion most sports do look like a ballet.:) #10904394Mitch Spence November 21, 2013
I like both. I know after the kick happens it's taboo to hit the kicker, but I don't know how any of them stop their rush in order to avoid it. #10904456Robert K. Bemus November 21, 2013
Great captures both! Full contact ballet! #10904575Laura E. Swan November 22, 2013
Both are very cool pics, Michelle! Adidas would likely use either as their shoe emblems really stand out on the kicker. (At least to me they do).I like Davids comment...I'd never thought of it that way but it's true. :) In slow motions most sports really do look so graceful.
Great job, as always!
