Beauty in Denim

This was a candid shot--I do not believe the subject knew her photo was being taken. She was a guest of one of the graduates at Saturday's Commencement Ceremony at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.

I am also going to add the color version (which I think is exceptionally beautiful) in the discussion area. I was conflicted about which version to enter.

Two beautiful images of a beautiful lady!! You should also enter the color version> #10701774Dale Hardin May 21, 2013
Michelle, these are both excellent. The pose, the subject, the light, the colors. You can't go wrong with either. At this point I think the color is the stronger of the two, but if you apply some creative dodging and burning to accent the key light on the black and white, I believe it will give the color image a run for it's money. #10701809

Tough choice but think I ever-so-slightly prefer the B&W. Both are beautiful portraits! #10701817

Both are excellent images so enter the color version as well, however the b&w version would be my favorite due to the wonderful tone!! #10705604Mike F. Anderson May 25, 2013
What you've captured here as a candid Michelle, others painstakingly try to create in a studio. Excellent in all ways! I vote for the B/W one. I've enjoyed all your recent portrait entries. #10706389
