Day 12!!! They say tonight at midnight we will have electric but that is only 3 hours from now!! At least I have seen some power trucks in the vicinity!!!Michael Kelly November 09, 2012
Quite a find and well shot. Is it just a brilliant red sunset providing the color? I like it as shown and don't have any suggestions. #10412118Beth Spencer November 10, 2012
Michael thank you. It was the sunset, sometimes it just hits the side of our yard just right!!Jeff E Jensen November 10, 2012
Yeah, I like this as shown. Really cool!Good luck with the power. Are you getting more snow this week? #10412496

Any power yet???? This image looks like it would be straight out of a halloween movie. I know it is at dusk, but it has that midnight feel to it. I really like it and the placement of that one large snow covered trunk is a great focal point. Very difficult to make images like this work, but you did it! :~) #10412883Stephen Shoff November 10, 2012
I'm glad to see that you did get some pictures of the trees! That's a phantastic effect, Beth. Very unusual and therefore captivating. If you enhanced the red any, I might suggest toning it down a bit.
I don't know how you'd do it, but if you get the whites whiter, I think the additional contrast would help this some. #10413500

Wow, what fantastic and creepy shot. Those trees just look so wierd, kind of like they're on fire, but not. Great job capturing this.So is your power back yet??? #10413665

I agree with Stephen, to make the whites whiter. It almost looks like Halloween up north-kinda creepy. Amazing capture of the sunset on the trees. Not something you usually see... #10414152Debbie E. Payne November 11, 2012
Beth - I was going to say "Very cool" but considering what you have been going through decided that was not the way to go. I love this shot. The red is phenomenal. I do agree that a bit more contrast between the whites and the darks would make this even better. I hope that by now, Sunday, that you have your power back. #10414216Rita K. Connell November 11, 2012
the is a very nice shot indeed Beth. nice capture of the evening light. I agree that its just a tad to dark and a bit more contrast between the whites and dark would make it better. I hope when you comment again your electric will be back on. Oh the thrill of turning on a light switch, taking a shower, cooking on the stove!!!! #10414363Beth Spencer November 11, 2012
I HAVE ELECTRIC AS OF THIS AFTERNOON!!!! 13 Days was a long time, but we made it!!! There are still some folks without it though... Snow is all melting, I don;t think we are suppose to get more this week.Aimee C. Eisaman November 11, 2012
For me the original post works well...I like the murky feel to it...give a great mood. What a beautiful sunset from the front! :~) So glad you got your power back...bet you have alot of things to catch up on now. #10414650Stephen Shoff November 12, 2012
Halloween movies aren't "my thing", I think I like the lightened version better. The color is still pretty incredible. #10416498Beth Spencer November 13, 2012
