Mrs. Adams sadly took her own life swallowing photo-developing chemicals, after a bout of severe depression following the death of her beloved father. The sculpture Mr. Adams commissioned is titled "The Mystery of the Hereafter and The Peace of God that Passeth Understanding."Terry A. Stoa June 12, 2012
You've created a really amazing image, Chris - turning a more-or-less blah photo into a piece of fine art. Kudos! #10177328Chris Budny June 12, 2012
Thanks, Terry! I knew the time of day was not my friend---hard, mid-day light (not to mention 90 degrees.) So, into the darkroom it went... :) #10177421Carol Quina June 12, 2012

Well done, Chris. Once a year, I visit Aspet, the summer home of Saint Gaudens and there is a life size copy of this on the grounds. #10177632Bob Cournoyer June 12, 2012

Brilliant work Chris! You managed to change the entire complexion of the image to a more Gothic-like feel. Good lession for all tourists on what can be done to change an uninteresting image into a work of art. #10178532Chris Budny June 13, 2012
