Description

----
General Washington (foreground left) and his men commune with 21st Century Americans after disembarking from their Durham boats on the New Jersey shore after the 2010 re-enactment at Washington Crossing Park. In 1776 it would be a dark, cold, and wet Christmas night and the men would be marching on the road to Trenton to ambush the Hessian merceneries partying in their barracks.

A spectator had walked in front of my camera just as I snapped the shutter. To remedy this, I had to clone, resize, and rotate pieces of General Washington's gloved hand and uniform from two other shots I had shot of him earlier in the re-enactment.

Great capture of these fine Gentlemen from the past! I loved the way they dressed in those days ... although it must have been very cumbersome! You did an excellent job of repairing George's hand and uniform! One would never know that there was a significant change made to this image ... which I'm sure isn't very consoling considering all the trouble you went through to make the adjustment! LOL! Excellent capture and editing work, Michelle! It was well worth your efforts! :) Happy Independence Day!!!!! :)
