Shooting the "V"

Description

-----
It amazes me that it is possible to stand in front of the "LOVE" sculpture at Love Park (15th and JFK BLVD) in Philadelphia, and see Logan Square fountains one mile away, and beyond the fountains the Art Museum (with posters advertising the current Renoir exhibit) TWO miles away!!!
-----------
This is a tight crop of the original shot that showed the full sculpture and the entire plume of water behind the girl.
---------
Oh...by the way...this gal was (still is, surely) pregnant, but it was a distraction so I used the PS filter "Liquify" to temporarily remedy the situation.

adrifil August 22, 2010

This framing is stronger than the wide view. We like it as it is, it makes a much better photo.
The DOF is amazing! 2 miles away???

If you hadn't mentioned that you edited the girl's pregnancy we would never guess it. Great job, you really are very skilled at editing. :) #8854494

Lorna Shutter August 31, 2010

I like both images here, Michelle! ... but I love the way the water looks in the tighter crop! You're very bad though ... You shouldn't have taken her baby away from her! Can't you get arrested for that? LOL! Oh, I forgot ... The policeman was too busy begging for money! Ha! Ha! :) #8874100
