You know what? My image on my end is as sharp as a tack. I was so excited to enter it. It looks a little out of focus here. :( This happens sometimes. I wonder why?
BUT STILL I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT MY NEW CAMERA.
Usman...too late. I already had to get a wide angle too.
Broke till Christmas...Hehe!
Thanks all! Great to see you and your entries were wonderful tonight!
Good Night All!

OH BOY IS THIS CAMERA FUN! Cant say I have taken TOO many great shots yet because I have been venturing off into manual without knowing enough about it!
BUT I have taken enough good ones to give me hope for the future! Like a baby with it's BLANKET I will bring old faithful with me as a back up after this so I dont miss the perfect shots like I did a dozen times at the Zoo. DANG! I had a baby gorilla entertained at the glass window. He liked me!!! We had fun! But did I get ONE GOOD SHOT??? NOOOOOOO!
(SIGH)
Michelle, when I go to the zoo I feel sorry for the animals. Kids banging on the windows and making a fuss. Do you know what I do? I sing to the animals.
MAN! It's a show stopper for them. They look at me, sometimes approach me, cock their heads at me...Stare and blink...listen, and enjoy!(Instead of AVOIDING like they usually do around humans!) And I use lullaby tones or soft low songs, like the blues in a way. THEY LOVE IT. Of course I wait till no one is around. The ZOO was almost closed and no one was around when I was singing to this owl. :)
Elephants like singing. Apes do. Exotic birds are suckers for it!!! Many animals like it. :)
Thanks everyone for all you said. I am already wanting a macro lens. I bet it happens around Christmas. If it does you will be seeing some good close ups of my tree ornaments. :) Or little jumping SPIDER FACES if I get it by HALLOWEEN! HA!
This camera is for my job, however. I am thrilled for the upgrade! TRULY!!!
Thank you again

Thank you for being happy for me with my new rig and also for coming to see what it can do! :) Hopefully it will do many more things that get better and better with practice!
This owl was amazing and totally unafraid. He was only like 5 feet from me on a little hill the zoo build for him.

I made a lot of mistakes at the ZOO with the ZOO BABIES but I caught a few good ones, too. Made it worth the effort.
Thanks for your encouragement. :) Means lots!

Pom, this is a terrific owl capture! That new camera may take half the credit, but the other half goes to the skills a photographer has. So --- EXCELLENT portrait! :-)

I'd be in heaven if I saw this in the wild. This fellow was totally tame. Didn't even flinch that I was there. In the wild he'd have been gone LICKETY SPLIT I'd assume?
Thanks for all you said. :)
