Description


The Saguaro Cactus, a symbol of the Southwestern United States, reaches for the sky in the Sonoran Desert near Tucson.

Sigma 10-20 at 20mm. Early Morning, ISO 400, 1/125 @ f11.0, EC -1/3 (Converted to B&W with PSE7 and NIK Silver Efex) The original color version is in the comments section. (N&L)

G'day *JEFF*!

How else would you photograph this giant cactus? 8-)
But what is more the point is that you have photographed it sooooo well mate.
You chose a time with fantastic clouds to support the subject and to give you glorious light, you have used the point of view very well indeed and made a great composution and you have made good use of a long depth of field.
The B&W processing has been handled expertly, displaying good contrast and tonal range.
A standout.
