Hi Mike. Glad you like the photo. I shot this at an Indian Pow Wow in Sussex County, NJ last year. I took the shot because his eyes where so strikingly glowing orange. I'd never seen anything like it before. I checked a bird book and can only come up with one owl that looks like him, with similar eys. A Eurasian Eagle-Owl. In answer to your question, no changes were made to his eyes, that's the real thing. Thanks for responding, I appreciate it.Keri Jo Kociss May 26, 2019
What a beautiful bird! The detail is astounding.... You did a great job! #97806Karen Talasco May 26, 2019
Hi Michael. My apologies for addressing you as Mike in my earlier response. I'm not sure which you prefer, sorry if I offended you. I guess my brain wasn't working. :o #97871Karen Talasco May 26, 2019
Hello Keri. Thanks for the compliment, it's appreciated :) #97872Wolfgang Dolak May 26, 2019
This IS a Eurasian Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo) - I was "married" to one for about 8 years and the eye color is absolutely true!Karen Talasco May 26, 2019
