Cardinal in the winter
Gary H. Minish December 17, 2002
There's my cardinal again! Did you catch him for me? Actually, although I'd love to see him up here, I'm afraid there's no way I would be able to support him in the manner to which he has become accustomed ;-) I really like this photo, Rhonda, because it shows his eye so well and he has an expression...I believe it's a smile :-) #16001Joy Brown May 26, 2019
Outstanding, Rhonda. I'd love to get a print of this for my neighbor. She loves cardinals and would love this. #32593Gerda Grice May 26, 2019
This is just beautiful, Rhonda. The composition is super and the colours are wonderful. I love it. #32594Murry Grigsby May 26, 2019
Very nice photo, Rhonda. Do cardinals not migrate south? If not, they must be pretty tough little birds :-)Murry #32664

Gary,Joy,
Thank you Joy I am really glad that you enJOYed:-) this one. Just drop me a line if you would like to purchase this print we can work something out.
Gerda,
Thanks so much Gerda I really appreciate it so much. You know I love your work.
Murry,
Thank you Murry I appreciate it very much. No, they are here year round. Of the top of my head the only birds from here that go south are the hummingbirds. The cardinals, chickadees, titmouse, wrens, mockingbirds, gold, purple & house finches, robins, hairy, downy, flicker & yellow bellied woodpeckers, sparrows, nuthatches, brown creepers, blue jays, dark-eyed juncos, blue birds all stay put throughout the year (If I don't make lists I forget something:-) It is amazing to me how they can withstand bitter cold weather and stand on ice and snow. The other day my shutter finger hurt so bad from the cold I could not hit the shutter:-)
Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate it very much.
