Albert Memorial Bridge

The city of Regina SK has the dubious distinction of being in the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest bridge over the shortest span of water. The Albert Memorial Bridge was built during the Great Depression and opened in 1930. The bridge is ornamented with these glazed terra-cotta balusters. In 2009 restoration work began on the bridge that included the removal of the balustrades so that many hired artists could repair and repaint them.
