Great image Ron, and as you say, a shame that this fine animal has been 'clapped in irons'.Good job! #757301

Sad but true, unfortunately, Ron. However it is a magnificent 'capture' and photograph, as only one with your talent can produce. Very well done, my dear friend - your good friend, Allan #757431lyn winans September 05, 2004

Thank you everyone! My wife and I spent the day at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle yesterday. Too crowded for the tripod so the IS really saved me. I think the Eagles were my favorite.Wilson H. Valentin September 05, 2004
Great job, Ron! so true. that lens is my favorite, super sharp! I would never sell it...lol. #757721Dan Holm September 05, 2004
Excellent shot and imagery, Ron!! Your shot and statement sums it all up in a visually eloquent way! #757723Wayne Brasch September 06, 2004
Stunning photography Ron. I would dearly love to see one of these magnificent birds for real. Such a shame this noble bird is manacled, but unfortunately we all are to one degree or another. By chance I came close(about 15') to one of our native New Zealand Hawks yesterday feeding on a dead animal and you guessed it missed the shot but who cares, it was just beautiful to see. #758091Ron Goldman September 06, 2004

Great shot, Ron!! It is sad to see such a regal animal in leg chains. You really captured that feeling here. All I can say is Wow!!How do you like the 70-200 IS lens? I was thinking of investing in the 100-400 IS lens, so was wondering how you liked yours. Have you tried it for action? I was wondering how fast it is for auto focusing? #761024
